DOOM The Dark Ages Full Transcript

My project’s birthday today—7 freakin’ years! To celebrate, I’m dropping the full script of the fresh new game.

In the age of fire and ruin, when the legions of Hell first set foot upon Argent D'Nur, another came... an outsider, his path to their world carved in blood, for the demons could not escape his wrath.

The Night Sentinels, desperate and broken, saw in him a weapon.

Their gods, ever watchful, saw something more.

They bestowed upon him strength beyond mortal flesh, speed beyond thought - a gift, now tethered to their will....

[The game greets us with a flight over the mountains and forests of a misty world that exudes the scent of antiquity. Thunder rumbles, and only rare rays of sunlight break through the cloud-covered sky. Finally, we fly up to a castle in the mountains near the ocean. In the distance, we can see a huge pentagram touching the water's surface. The castle itself is engulfed in the flames of battle.]

KHALIM
PLANET OF ARGENT D'NUR

[At the edge of the cliff stands a woman dressed in black with decorative metal elements. Her face is covered with a thick veil, and only her eyes shine from beneath it. A creature vaguely resembling a human being approaches her, dressed in armor-like attire.]

Hell Priest: Another fool's errand, witch. You have wasted our time once again.

The Witch: We will not leave here until the Heart of Argent is found. It is close.

Hell Priest: The horde will tear this village to pieces, but our time is running out. Soon, the humans will summon him.

[Meanwhile, a fierce battle is raging inside the castle. People dressed in fantasy armor rush back and forth with automatic weapons at the ready. The camera focuses on one of them, whose open helmet reveals a beard and mustache. Someone is communicating with him through a transmitter built into the helmet.]

Sentinel Soldier: King Novik, we found their entry point. It doesn't make sense, sir... The barrier is still holding, but... our scans show that three portals were opened from inside the village.

King Novik: The demons couldn't get past the barrier, so their followers are letting them in. Thira... The transports... How much time?

[The scene changes to a fortress hovering above the cliffs using electric discharges. Inside, a middle-aged woman sits at the control panel, and judging by her epaulettes and uniform, she has some kind of serious rank.]

SENTINEL COMMAND

Commander Thira: Get me the new bishop. Valen's armored division is still an hour away.

[She is answered by a junior soldier sitting at his high-tech console.]

Sentinel Soldier: We could try and launch the Atlans.

Commander Thira: There's no time.

[She takes a device that looks like a walkie-talkie from the control panel and leaves. She speaks the following words directly into the walkie-talkie, quietly and with a very serious expression on her face.]

Commander Thira: Bishop Kreed. We need him.

[Meanwhile, above the fortress where the battle is raging, a ship hovers, shaped like a cross with a pointed bottom and surrounded by a circle. The scene jumps there.]

THE KREED MAYKR'S SHIP
STATIONED ABOVE KHALIM

[Aliens are scurrying around the ship, hovering above the floor, with glowing yellow tubes instead of hands. Their bodies are covered in gold, and they look as if they are wearing robes, but overall they more or less resemble humans. Two such aliens fly up to a corpulent alien in a white robe on a flying platform. They inform him of Commander Thira's call. He sends them away.]

Kreed Maykr: Commander...

Kreed Maykr: Thira. This temple must remain guarded.

[We return to Sentinel Command, where Commander Thira is still walking down the corridor, talking into her walkie-talkie.]

Commander Thira: The village of Khalim is a mining settlement. If it falls, everything will be destroyed. Including your Sentinel energy reserves.

[An obese alien in a white robe waves his hand and his assistant announces the order.]

Kreed Maykr's Assistant: Launch the Slayer.

[The Doom Slayer himself stands on a platform in the center of the hall. He is wearing a stylish cloak made of some kind of animal fur, but personally, given his fierce appearance, I would assume that he simply shaved three dozen demons bald and forced them to make this accessory. He is covered by a protective dome (which, of course, protects not him but others from him). And they give him a shotgun and a shield.]

Maykr Facility Voice: Total purification targeted for the village of Khalim. Launching the Slayer in 3... 2... 1... Release.

[A powerful golden beam shoots from the bottom of the ship directly at Kharim Castle, where the battle is raging. The beam scatters the demons in all directions. To the heavy metal music with electronic notes, the Doom Slayer slowly rises from his knees.]

DOOM THE DARK AGES

Chapter 1: Village of Kharim

"The Village of Khalim is a rugged outpost where towering extraction rigs harvest Primordium Essence, a raw, volatile precursor to Sentinel energy drawn from the fossilized remains of Argent D'Nur's prehistoric titans. Perched on the edge of a storm-lashed coast, Khalim doubles as a vital seaport, its harbors bustling with the transport of this precious resource. The village's immense energy signature makes it a coveted prize for invaders, but its fortifications bristle with defenses, from towering gun emplacements to reinforced walls. Khalim holds defiant, a hardened bastion protecting the lifeblood of Sentinel innovation."

Cover the Escape

[The Doom Slayer begins to fight his way to the village. Using his shield, he defends himself from various energy weapons fired at him and crashes into crowds of monsters at tremendous speed, turning them into bloody shreds.]

Commander Thira: Impact confirmed. The Slayer has been activated.

[Having infiltrated the village, the Doom Slayer begins his purge.]

Commander Thira: Ensign, do you have a lock on the Slayer's location?

Sentinel Soldier: Confirmed. Weapon drop incoming in 3......2.......1.

[A capsule falls from the sky into a small courtyard with a loud crash. Doom Slayer approaches it and opens it. Inside is a Power Gauntlet, which Doom Slayer immediately puts on. Striking a demon with this gauntlet allows him to replenish his ammunition somewhat. Doom Slayer immediately tests his new weapon on the nearest demons, driving their lifeless bodies deep into the mud. Moving a little further, he enters a large courtyard, where he unleashes a bloody carnage, completing his mission to cleanse the village.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The main gate is under lockdown.

Commander Thira (via radio): There's a key in the nearby church. Route him the location.

[Now you need to find the Blue Key. Doom Slayer enters a ruined church, encountering new enemies that shoot green streams of energy, which Doom Slayer can deflect with his shield, returning them to the shooter and destroying him. Doom Slayer enters the church courtyard, where he finds a statue with a key next to it, as well as several cultists.]

King Novik (via radio): The cultists are traitors.

[The Doom Slayer mercilessly kills them with a blow from his shield and picks up the Blue Key.]

Commander Thira (via radio): He's at ground zero. Key located.

[The Doom Slayer passes through the gate, opening it with a key. Several demons jump out at him from the hellish portal.]

Commander Thira (via radio): Once he kills the demons, the portals will collapse.

[The Doom Slayer embarks on a crusade against hordes of demons, destroying portals in the process. Along the way, he also manages to upgrade his arsenal. He obtains another capsule containing a weapon called the Shredder, which fires a stream of sharp spikes.]

Commander Thira (via radio): All hellgates closed. The village is secure.

[After destroying the four portals, the Doom Slayer must defend the coast.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Tier 5 readings in the south bay. Incoming.

King Novik (via radio): A Titan has been summoned.

[The Doom Slayer approaches the seashore. A massive creature with a club stands in the water, knee-deep in the sea. A dragon attempts to attack it with streams of flame.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): We need backup! Someone get on that turret!

[The Doom Slayer finds the turret and removes the corpse of the unfortunate individual who was there before him and perished.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): They're making a final push.

[The Doom Slayer begins shooting hordes of demons, after which the Titan himself emerges onto the shore. Using a turret, the Doom Slayer tears him apart piece by piece until the Titan falls to the ground.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Titan down. All remaining enemy targets have been neutralized.

[While the barrels of the Doom Slayer's turret cool down, a group of soldiers led by King Novik approaches him from a safe distance. As soon as the Doom Slayer turns his gaze toward the king, he is immediately teleported back to the ship.]

Commander Thira: (to Novik via radio) They lied to us. And now he has a leash.

King Novik: The Maykrs felt a weapon as powerful as the Slayer... ...should be guided.

Commander Thira: And you agreed.

King Novik: He's not one of us. They want assurances. And so did I.

[The scene changes, and we find ourselves in a hellish castle. Its inhabitants are watching a holographic video in which the Doom Slayer destroys hordes of demons.]

Hell Priest: The Beast is tearing through our ranks once again. And still, you continue to be influenced by this... ...outsider. It is not this witch who is forced onto the battlefield against the Slayer.

[Along with him in the room are also a witch and a tall demon prince in red armor with a white human face and horns.]

Prince Ahzrak: All the power of Hell. Cowering.... ...before one man. Our enemy is divided. The time... is now. And the Heart of Argent gives us the power to conquer the Beast... ........and crush his allies.

Hell Priest: The horde is yours to command... ...for now, Prince Ahzrak. I will be informing the High Council of your... progress.

The Witch: They fear him, and so your dominion over Hell is not absolute.

Prince Ahzrak: Avoid the Slayer. We should focus on breaking the humans first... ...Then, resume our search.

Chapter 2: Hebeth

*Prince Ahzrak's search for the Heart of Argent continues. He now looks to weaken the Sentinel's defenses.*

"Hebeth lies on a distant planet far from Argent D'Nur. It was chosen at the dawn of the war with Hell as the site for the Trans-Dimensional Barrier, a colossal construct designed to halt demonic incursions. Once an interdimensional port facilitating off-world travel, Hebeth's barrier was built by Sentinel engineers as a defense mechanism powered by the planet's rich veins of Aetherium Crystals. Its hyper-phased lattice cores generate a quantum disruption field, severing Hell's ability to open portals into Argent D'Nur. The mined energy is channeled through antimatter conduits, beaming the field across dimensions to shield the entire dimension from invasion."

SENTINEL OUTPOST
Planet of Hebeth

[The scene changes to the orbit of a red planet, vaguely reminiscent of Mars. There, too, an endless war is raging. A huge number of fighter jets fly through the air, firing plasma beams at each other, while Titans stride through the burning city. The Maykr ship appears in the sky.]

Kreed Maykr's Assistant: Sire, the demons are now targeting the Sentinel's energy relay. It powers their transdimensional barrier.

Kreed Maykr: Yes?

Kreed Maykr's Assistant: It is an energy field which prevents the demons from opening a portal into this world.

Kreed Maykr: It doesn't work.

Kreed Maykr's Assistant: What you see now is a result of Sentinel civilians falling under the influence of demons and opening portals for them. A mere leak in the dam, sir. If the barrier were to break...

[Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer just stands in the center of his pedestal. And he's clearly not feeling well; something is going on in his head. His eyes light up.]

Maykr Facility Voice: Warning. Slayer vitals increasing. Slayer prepped for launch.

Maykr Drone: It's...remarkable how he can survive the power surge.

Maykr Drone: Yes. We purify his mind and leave only his hatred for the demons. But his resistance to the tether's influence is... ...increasing? A request to the Kreed for additional energy reserves has already been made.

Kreed Maykr's Assistant: Launch the Slayer immediately.

Defend Hebeth

[The Doom Slayer is immediately transported to the planet's surface by a golden beam. He finds himself surrounded by soldiers who are not there to support him, but merely to witness his arrival.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): He’s at the dropzone. Deploying weapon pod now.

[The Doom Slayer approaches the capsule and opens it to find a round disc with teeth that can be added to his shield. His shield turns into a saw that can be spun and thrown at enemies.]

King Novik (via radio): Reroute all units to the energy relay.

[The Doom Slayer enters the weapons factory. After eliminating all life there, he makes his way to the research laboratory.]

Sentinel Facility Voice: Hebeth facilities are under lockdown.

[In the laboratory, he begins to find gold, which can be used to purchase upgrades for his equipment. He goes further, becoming an even more effective killer.]

Sentinel Facility Voice: Welcome to research and development. Operations are currently suspended.

Sentinel Facility Voice: Warning. Incoming demonic presence.

[After destroying the horde of demons, the Doom Slayer obtains a plasma rifle called the Accelerator.]

Sentinel Facility Voice: Plasma Gun test in progress. Please clear the floor.

[Following the advice of a robot whose voice comes through loudspeakers, the Doom Slayer defends the floor from demons using his new weapon. After that, he begins to search for the source of the demonic infection in order to block their access to the planet and stop the invasion.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Demonic leader identified.

[He soon finds it when he emerges onto the surface of a lifeless planet, weathered by sandy winds. Demons and Titans roam everywhere, and the chances of survival are zero, not only for the Doom Slayer. From the red portal, riding a bull-like horned monster, a demon with a glaive emerges. The Doom Slayer destroys his entourage, throws his shield, cuts off the demon's head, and simply rips out the bull's intestines with his bare hands. After that, a massive tall door opens, revealing a giant, seemingly 15-meter-tall combat suit chained to a rack, as if crucified on a cross.]

Chapter 3: Barrier Core

Defend the Barrier

[The Doom Slayer presses the elevator button and ascends to the top, to the head of the combat suit. He enters the cockpit, confidently sits down in the chair, and activates all systems.]

Sentinel Facility Voice: Engines online.

Slayer Suit: Neural link established.

[The Doom Slayer emerges from the hangar in his new suit. He now has the ability to fight Titans directly, which is exactly what he does. With his bare hands. He simply beats the demons until they turn into a bloody mess. The Doom Slayer moves forward, and even rocks cannot stop him. However, at a certain point, his combat suit stops, and a large Titan approaches him...]

Sentinel Facility Voice: Core malfunctioning.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Sir, a Titan broke through.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The energy relay is under attack.

King Novik (via radio): If that core explodes the city goes with it.

[The Doom Slayer uses the suit's limited mobility to perfectly dodge attacks. After a while, his mobility returns and he continues to destroy the Titans.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Dimensional barrier is shutting down. We can't stop it now.

King Novik (via radio): How long do we have?

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Not long. The reactor has sustained heavy damage.

[After a while, the Doom Slayer encounters another combat suit identical to his own, but with horns made of gold and something resembling a Christian cross on the chest. King Novik himself is sitting inside this combat suit.]

King Novik (via radio): More Titans ahead. Support team, deploy weaponry.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Incoming.

[A huge capsule, that fits the size of the combat suit, falls from the sky. Inside is a double-barreled machine gun the size of a house. The Doom Slayer picks up the machine gun and heads for the Power Core, destroying Titans along the way.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Sire, Slayer ts approaching the core.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The barrier is critical. Relay overloading.

King Novik (via radio): We need to pull everyone back.

[The Doom Slayer approaches the core and tears off its cover with his bare hands, then removes a ball sparkling with red lightning. Taking it, he leaves.]

King Novik (via radio): That core will explode... he needs to evacuate now.

Commander Thira (via radio): He's trying to save the city. Slayer, there’s a strip mine nearby, I'll mark it for you.

Marok: The Kreed's ship has disappeared for radar.

[The Doom Slayer runs out of the city, smashing Titans' skulls with his bare hands along the way.]

Sentinel Soldier: No response from the Maykrs.

Commander Thira: Tracking the Slayer for evac now.

[Soon, the Doom Slayer faces an armored Titan carrying not only a club but also a shield, which complicates the process of killing him. However, after a fierce battle, he still manages to win. He shoves a cannonball right into the mouth of the horned monster and kicks it into a huge hole in the ground. An incredibly powerful explosion occurs. At that moment, Thira flies by in her small ship nearby, and the Doom Slayer jumps out of his combat suit, clinging to the cargo compartment of Thira's ship.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The transdimensional barrier is offline. Demonic activity is...surging. The Kreed has requested an immediate report.

Commander Thira: Return to the Sentinel barracks.

[Next scene. We get to a room where various demonic books and artifacts lie on a table. Also in the room is an elderly man wearing Sentinel armor.]

Deag Loric: I did as you asked, now please... ...let her soul be at peace.

[In front of him, the enormous head of the demon prince floats in the air.]

Prince Ahzrak: And the Heart of Argent?

Deag Loric: is sealed in a chamber, I told you, I... I cannot open it. No one can.

Chapter 4: Sentinel Barracks

*With the transdimensional barrier destroyed, King Novik awaits Prince Ahzrak's next move.*

[We arrive at the planet where the Sentinel base is located. Massive towers rise up in the mountains, and to the right we can see the corpse of a giant demon, apparently defeated by the Sentinel at some point. Transport ships fly through the air.]

SENTINEL BARRACKS
CANTOTH, ARGENT D'NUR

[Doom Slayer stands motionless outside. Nearby, two Maykrs are posted, probably to try and stop him if he goes berserk. Meanwhile, we cut inside the tower, to the command center, where they’re discussing their next move. Novik, Thira, and a Sentinel Soldier at the control panel are there.]

Sentinel Soldier: A distress signal was sent. We've tried contacting them. No response.

[She presses a few buttons on the console. A giant hologram of the guy we saw in the last video pops up—looks like another recording of some kind.]

Deag Loric: I sealed it from him, but... ...it is an artifact of immense power.... Forgive me.

Sentinel Soldier: They're inside!

[The hologram cuts out.]

[The Sentinel Soldier hits a few more buttons. A massive hologram appears—this time, it’s a freaky eyeball in some futuristic frame.]

Sentinel Facility Voice: The Heart of Argent. Discovered in AR722. An artifact said to contain the soul of the last Wraith. Powers and origin: unknown.

[An explosion echoes from outside.]

King Novik: Assemble the guard.

Defend the Barracks

[Cut to Doom Slayer—seems like they’re letting him do his thing now.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Demons in the forth wing.

King Novik (via radio): Valen, with the Slayer guarding the barracks, we'll take the airships. Rally at the priest's signal.

Sentinel Facility Voice: Demons have entered the facility.

[Doom Slayer picks up a new weapon—the Skullcrusher Pulverizer, which grinds up skulls and fires the shards in an arc at enemies.]

King Novik (via radio): I'm on board. I'll establish contact where we reach Aratum.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Commander Thira. The demonic presence around the priest’s signal is getting larger.

[Doom Slayer continues his total demon purge in the barracks.]

Slayer Suit: Occult energy detected.

Commander Thira (via radio): You're almost outside. There's a path through the tombs nearby.

[He drops down through a massive hole in the floor, landing in creepy, torch-lit catacombs.]

Get to the Aratum

[After cracking open a new capsule, Doom Slayer gets his hands on the Impaler—a spike-firing weapon. A headshot with this thing deals extra damage. Once the catacombs are cleared, he climbs back up into the mountains.]

Commander Thira: This attack on the barracks is a diversion. My father will need help. Ensign, mobilize the Slayer’s dragon.

Sentinel Soldier: Marking the Stayer’s HUD now.

[With animalistic fury and sheer determination, Doom Slayer marches toward his next target—the Dragon’s Den. He annihilates everything in his path, and luckily for him, it’s all demons.]

Commander Thira: Slayer is approaching the bridge to the dragon's aviary.

[Doom Slayer faces off against another champion—a crab-like demon in golden armor with a massive claw. Its name? Vagary Champion. After a tough fight, Doom Slayer kills the beast, rips off its armor bare-handed, and crushes its head under his boot.]

Sentinel Soldier: Aviary unlocked. Clear the Slayer's launchpad.

Chapter 5: The Holy City of Aratum

"The Holy City of Aratum floats in ethereal splendor above Argent D'Nur, a sprawling sanctuary of gilded spires and luminous halls. This sacred epicenter of Sentinel theology houses relics and texts from the Age of the Ancestrals, preserved despite the outlawing of Wraith worship in favor of devotion to the Maykrs. Priceless artifacts line its opulent chambers, studied in reverence but guarded only by tradition. Untouched by war, the city's sanctity is upheld by an unspoken law: to spill blood here is to invite the wrath of the gods themselves."

[He steps into the dragon’s lair and walks onto a round platform. Two huge dragons jump down, fighting each other for the right to serve him… until they spot an even bigger dragon and both fly off. Then, a massive armored dragon—twice their size—drops onto the platform and snarls at Doom Slayer, who doesn’t even flinch. Doom Slayer hops into the saddle, hits a few buttons, and the dragon’s electric wings unfold.]

Slayer Suit: Thrusters online.

[Now riding the dragon, Doom Slayer tears through the lair, blasting any demons and tanks in his way. Bursting into open skies, he flies alongside Sentinel transport ships.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Novik, the Slayer is en route.

[Doom Slayer presses more buttons on the control levers, and the wings shift shape slightly.]

Slayer Suit: Assault mode engaged.

[He rockets forward at bullet speed, reaching a floating castle in the blink of an eye.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Those ships are powering a force field around the main cathedral.

King Novik (via radio): The demons conjured a barrier when we arrived. The coordinates to the artifact are inside the city.

Break the Cathedral Forcefield

[Doom Slayer lands on one of the platforms and enters the city.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Mark the engines on the hellship.

[He destroys the first barrier—a rune inside a protective dome. He smashes the shield with a punch and gets flung out of the city… but his dragon catches him.]

Sentinel Soldier: Target destroyed. Destroying all of the ships will lower the barrier and open a path inside.

[After carving his way forward, Doom Slayer finds another landing spot—another platform.]

Commander Valen (via radio): Mark the engines on the hellship.

King Novik (via radio): Valen, move into position.

[Even more demons greet him, but he quickly locates the next barrier and wrecks it too. After taking down a massive demonic warship (which was the champion this time), he moves on and grabs a new weapon—the Plasma Cycler, which fires medium-speed plasma needles. After shredding another demon horde and taking his dragon for another spin, he finds another classic weapon—the Super Shotgun. Finally, with all barriers destroyed, Doom Slayer flies straight to the Heart Chamber.]

Retrieve the Heart of Argent

[Doom Slayer swoops in on his dragon toward the central castle and steps inside. The demon prince and the witch are already waiting. The witch throws up a barrier, blocking his path (and yeah, demons surround him, but that’s whatever). The demon prince moves for the Heart, but King Novik steps in his way, wielding a crackling blue electric axe.]

Prince Ahzrak: How brave.

King Novik: (to his radio) Ignite the charges.

[Explosive charges planted across Aratum detonate, turning the flying fortress into a floating tomb. Meanwhile, Doom Slayer finishes off the last demon. He’s instantly teleported to Maykr ship. The king tosses a flashbang and ziplines to a transport ship. The fortress crumbles, the Heart still in the king’s grip. Slowly, the wreckage crashes onto the planet’s surface.]

Chapter 6: Siege - Part 1

*King Novik has secured the talisman, and now the Sentinels regroup.*

SENTINELS STRONGHOLD
TEROTH, ARGENT D'NUR

Sentinel Soldier: The ships are refueling, sire. We should be ready to leave as soon as the cruisers are done loading.

King Novik: Very good. Get to your ship.

[Thira approaches.]

King Novik: I thought you left for the command station. Everyone is evacuating.

[She notices the talisman hanging around Novik’s neck.]

Commander Thira: So you are holding on to it.

King Novik: (sighs) Until we get to the location. A new vault is being built.

Commander Thira: Then let the Slayer guard it.

King Novik: If what they say is true... ...then this is a part of our heritage, not the Maykrs. (to his radio) Valen, are you seeing anything?

[Cut to Commander Valen, standing atop the wall, watching the distant storm. Lightning forks through the clouds. For the first time, we get a clear look at his face—a dark-skinned arab-looking man, scars telling tales of countless battles. His hair’s cut into a mohawk, and he’s got a short beard.]

Commander Valen: No sign of activity, sir. Maybe he didn't survive.

[Meanwhile, a cross-shaped Maykr ship hovers over the Sentinel base. Time to check in on them, too.]

Maykr Facility Voice: Demonic threat level increasing.

Maykr Drone: Should we launch the Slayer now?

Maykr Drone: The Sentinels will be overrun.

Kreed Maykr: And what about us?

[Doom Slayer stands motionless in his cell, as if asleep. In his mind, he hears the screams of civilians being slaughtered. His eyes and heart ignite with golden fire. Something… snaps. He’s broken the Maykr’s control—his eyes are normal again.]

Maykr Facility Voice: Slayer movement detected.

[Doom Slayer stomps forward, his steps heavy, like the floor’s magnetic. A Maykr Drone frantically smashes controls, trying to stop him. Golden lightning wraps around him like chains, but he rips through them with sheer will. With a roar, he digs into his own chest, gripping the golden heart—the source of his enslavement. The room erupts in golden electricity.]

Kreed Maykr: Turn it off before he kills us all!

[The heart’s defense systems fail. A dozen triple-barreled turrets aim at him—he doesn’t care. He starts punching the energy dome, cracks spiderwebbing with each hit.]

Maykr Drone: It would appear that the Slayer no longer wishes to be detained here.

Maykr Facility Voice: Shield power down to thirty five percent...

Maykr Drone: Should we terminate his life functions?

Kreed Maykr: And destroy the Khan Maykrs' prized possession?

Maykr Facility Voice: Thirty four...

Kreed Maykr: So long as he has that tether on him...

Maykr Facility Voice: Thirty three...

Kreed Maykr: ...we can still have a hand in his fate...

Maykr Facility Voice: Thirty two...

[While Doom Slayer keeps hammering the dome, we cut back to the wall. From the storm, demonic ships approach—their prows shaped like skulls. The prince stands atop the lead vessel.]

Commander Valen: Sound the alarm! Prepare for battle!

Sentinel Soldier: King Novik! There is an urgent call from the Kreed Maykr.

Kreed Maykr (via radio): Lord Novik, a large horde is headed toward your position. We are launching the Slayer now. Please send forces immediately to ensure our safety.

Commander Thira: Thank you, Bishop Kreed.

[The castle’s under siege. Demons swarm the walls, scaling scaffolds. The flagship opens fire.]

Commander Valen: By the gods...

Sentinel Facility Voice: Engaging deflector shield.

Commander Valen: Lord Novik, it's a massive force. Three legions' worth.

[Then—Doom Slayer appears. Not on the outskirts. Right in the command center, beside Novik and Thira. The two show soldier’s discipline, masking their shock. The others? They back the hell up.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The hangar is blockaded, sire. No one can get in or out.

Defend the City

Commander Valen (via radio): All Atlans to defensive positions.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The Kreed's ship hasn't moved outside the combat zone.

Commander Thira (via radio): Energy production is down because of the war. This is his district.

[Doom Slayer studies a painting on the wall.]

Commander Thira (via radio): Khan would have him executed If he left.

[Doom Slayer explores the Sentinel base, eventually finding what he really wants—a weapon. The Flail. Perfect for smashing shields and armor.]

Slayer Suit: Weaponry deployed.

[He steps outside and starts systematically erasing demons.]

Commander Thira (via radio): Defensive turrets took some damage. Slayer, we need time to repair them before we can clear a path for the lifeboats.

Commander Valen: There are four more hellgates.

[Slayer’s Work mode: ON. He clears hordes in the mountains and forests, shuts down portals, and topples giants. For him it is just another Tuesday. In a cave, he grabs the Chainshot—a weapon that fires a spiked ball on a chain, grinding enemies to pulp before retracting.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Hellgates eliminated.

Commander Valen (via radio): The turrets are back online. Get the transports ready to launch.

Commander Thira (via radio): We're beginning to evacuate civilians now. Thank you, Slayer.

[When Doom Slayer is back at the wall, a massive portal tears open. A colossal demon hand emerges, crushing soldiers. A one-armed mech charges—only to get clubbed and hurled into the wall, disabling its shields...]

Chapter 7: Siege - Part 2

[Doom Slayer strides into the burning fortress.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Shield is down and the gate is taking heavy damage.

Commander Thira (via radio): Slayer, there's a turret in the courtyard you can use to hold them off.

[He mans a turret, mowing down waves until a Titan in armor lumbers in. Doom Slayer peels the armor off, and the beast crashes down.]

Commander Thira (via radio): They're inside the castle. We almost have everyone out.

[He marches toward the castle—no resistance left.]

King Novik (via radio): Thira. They're coming for the Heart. I'll draw them away from the lifeboats.

Commander Thira (via radio): Father, don’t go alone.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Commander, he signed off.

[Doom Slayer enters the castle after destroying all the demons on the approaches to it.]

Sentinel Soldier: The final transports are ready to launch.

[Inside, he finds the king hasn’t returned. A thought flashes: Save him.]

Sentinel Facility Voice: Warning: Structural damage detected.

Sentinel Facility Voice: Emergency protocols are in effect. Please clear the hangar immediately.

Sentinel Soldier: Several demonic signals are moving to King Novik's position.

Sentinel Facility Voice: The last lifeboat has been evacuated.

[Doom Slayer takes an elevator up. The king’s fighting the prince—but he’s strength is fading.]

Prince Ahzrak: No more tricks, old king.

[Suddenly—sparks fly as the door behind him is sawed open. A figure steps through, flames roaring at its back. Doom Slayer enters. He’s about to crush the prince’s skull with the Flail when—BAM! Purple lightning from the witch freezes him. He forces himself forward, step by step, then swings—only to get blasted off the tower by an explosion. The prince turns back to Novik, rips the Heart from his chest—and finds it empty.]

Prince Ahzrak: Tell me... Where. It. is.

[Enraged, he lifts the king, ready to snap his neck—when the one-armed mech stands back up. And for the first time, Doom Slayer speaks.]

Doom Slayer: Run.

[The king escapes. The witch teleports the prince away as Doom Slayer unloads, turning the room to slag.]

Chapter 8: Abyssal Forest

*As King Novik lies wounded after his battle with Ahzrak, his daughter Thira looks for help.*

[Back at the Sentinel base, Commander Thira walks a corridor with her aides.]

Sentinel Soldier: Thira, if the tether is removed... The Maykrs, their directive was clear. What would you have us do?

Commander Thira: Nothing.

[She enters a room where Doom Slayer’s picking at the golden heart in his chest like a scab.]

Commander Thira: It can't be removed! We scanned it. It's wired to a detonator. That demon. He's after something, you saw that. We call it the Heart of Argent. Anyone who wields it, they'd have the power of a god. Stronger than maybe even you. But the Heart is incomplete. It's made up of two parts. The other half is a power source, and we... ...don't know where it is.

Sentinel Soldier: Valen's search party is still active.

Commander Thira: If he ever gets control of it, that much power in Hell's hands... None of us would survive.

[While she talks, he tinkers at a workbench. Then he leaves—just a nod over his shoulder.]

Commander Thira: Unlock the Ancestral Forge.

[Meanwhile, aboard a Maykr ship: The prince hijacks a drone’s mind, slaughters others, then addresses Kreed Maykr himself.]

Prince Ahzrak: I ask only to be heard.

Kreed Maykr: Contact the ministry....

Prince Ahzrak: You... are stranded in this realm. There is no one left to trust. That is why you allow me to speak. Help us.

[The Fat One, nevertheless, presses the button on his remote, and the defective drone is struck by a shot from the triple-barreled cannon mounted on the wall. Yet, doubt seems to have taken root in his mind... Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer is dropped into a dark, night-shrouded forest...]

Get to the Forge

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Commander, he's on site.

Commander Thira (via radio): Good. Get a team ready to sweep the forest when we're done. I'm meeting him at the forge.

Commander Thira (via radio): My people guarded this forest for generations.

Commander Thira (via radio): You'll need a key to continue through that gate.

Commander Thira (via radio): That's it. The gate will open now.

Commander Thira (via radio): We lost hundreds when they took control of the mine.

Commander Thira (via radio): The mine shut down after the attack, but the forge still has power. The demons are drawn to it.

Commander Thira: The cannons in the watchtower can clear a path.

[The Doom Slayer climbs a small hill, scaling a mountain of corpses, and takes position behind the cannon, using it to blast apart a massive door, clearing the path into the mines.]

Commander Thira (via radio): This site is ancient. These mines were built to harvest the raw materials of the Ancestral beasts. The forge is inside.

Commander Thira: That lift will take you down. We're not far now.

Chapter 9: Ancestral Forge

Use the Ancestral Forge

Commander Thira: We can enhance your weapons.

Sentinel Soldier: Picking up high levels of demonic presence near the Forge.

Slayer Suit: Warning: Agaddon Hunter identified.

Commander Thira: The mine is open.

Commander Thira: Power activated.

Commander Thira: Almost finished.

Commander Thira: The heart has been primed.

Commander Thira: We can use the forge now.

[The Doom Slayer reaches the entrance to the Forge. Thira appears.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): No signs of the demons, Thira.

Commander Thira: We won't have much time.

[They descend in a colossal, circular gravity lift.]

Commander Thira: The Ancestrals never really die. The Heart endures, and we harvest the energy.

[The Doom Slayer places his shield upon the central pedestal. Thira removes her glove, steeling herself, and presses her hand against a special cylinder on the side, activating the Forge.]

Commander Thira: [deep breath] [chanting]

Sentinel Soldier: They're here. Falling back. We'll meet you at the exit.

[The arcane words ignite the cylinder touched by Thira’s hand with a blue glow. From it, a thread of energy spirals outward, encircling the central cylinder. Massive electrodes flood the house-sized heart with power, and it begins to beat, shaking the cavern walls. Along the blade of a sword so enormous that words fail to describe it (it pierces through the entire cavern) flows a blue, blood-like fluid. A single drop of this liquid falls onto the Doom Slayer’s shield. Thira pulls her hand away from the cylinder, now covered in glowing blue growths. With sheer will, she suppresses the radiance. Then, they vanish from the island. The Doom Slayer retrieves his upgraded shield, now bearing a new rune that allows him to deflect energy attacks back at his foes.]

Chapter 10: The Forsaken Plains

*The Slayer is sent on a one-man mission into Hell where previous Sentinel attacks have faded, targeting a demonic fortress.*

[The Doom Slayer arrives straight in Hell. He treads upon lifeless stone and withered bones, approaching a towering spire eerily reminiscent of those from The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Meanwhile, the Prince speaks via video link with... Kreed Maykr.]

Kreed Maykr: I... I can help you target her location. And the Slayer's... using the tether.

[The Prince, seated upon his throne, is pleased with his handiwork.]

Prince Aharak: Yes. That would be most useful.

[The Witch, meanwhile, studies a frozen holographic image of Thira.]

The Witch: No harm must come to her. She IS the Heart of Argent.

Hell Priest: Then why didn't she use her sorcery against us?

The Witch: The true scope of that human's power is unknown to her. The ceremony. It must take place in my world.

[The Prince approaches her, majestic and regal. He offers a brief smile.]

Prince Ahzrak: ...of course.

The Witch: The Heart is found. Now, give to me what is owed.

[The Prince, already turning to leave the room, pauses.]

The Witch: Return our god to us.

[Paying her little mind, the Prince addresses one of his servants.]

Prince Ahzrak: Close the gate.

[Two mechanisms raise the tower gates, sealing the entrance. We return to the Doom Slayer.]

Kill Ahzrak

Commander Thira (via radio): We've tried to attack here before but we couldn't break through to Ahzrak’s fortress. Look out for damaged Atlans. You may have to repair one to reach the target.

[The Doom Slayer sets out on his path, finding a rocket launcher inside yet another capsule. This is a serious weapon, one no ordinary man could wield—it fires volleys of rounds, each the size of a child’s head. He presses forward, passing through the gates into the next zone.]

Slayer Suit: Alert. Two Hell Cannons detected.

Commander Thira (via radio): After you take those out we'll be clear to get one of those Atlans working again.

Slayer Suit: Updating markers.

Slayer Suit: Hellfire Core identified. Destroy it to disable the cannon.

[The Doom Slayer destroys the Hell Cannon.]

Slayer Suit: Updating local map. One Hell Cannon remains.

Commander Thira (via radio): There's a power core nearby that still holds a charge. You can use it to get the other Atlan online.

[The Doom Slayer finds the Atlan (that very same battlesuit) half-buried in the earth, though the slot for its core remains visible. He takes the core.]

Slayer Suit: Energy levels stable at 92%.

Chapter 11: Hellbreaker

*The Slayer begins an Atlan assault on a fortress in Hell.*

[At the start of the mission, the Doom Slayer enters the Atlan’s cockpit and inserts the recently recovered core.]

Slayer Suit: Autopilot engaged. System reboot in progress.

[He settles into the seat and presses a series of buttons, awakening the behemoth. The Doom Slayer strides across the surface of Hell—a true god.]

Slayer Suit: Atlan online. Manual controls are now active.

[High walls are now mere obstacles, crumbling beneath his feet. The only ones capable of opposing him are the Titans. The Doom Slayer advances toward his enemy with the determination of an iron hammer.]

Commander Thira (via radio): Ahrak's fortress is ahead.

[The Doom Slayer acquires a massive grenade launcher, using it to annihilate an entire squad of Titans. Afterward, he climbs out of the suit and continues toward the tower on foot.]

Slayer Suit: The Maykrs have confirmed that Ahzrak’s signal is still inside.

[With a thunderous crash, the Doom Slayer forces open the tower’s suspended gates and steps inside. There, he is met by a giant red hologram of the Prince himself.]

Prince Ahzrak: Our time will come.

[Instead of the Prince, the Doom Slayer must face a standard horde of demons.]

Commander Thira (via radio): Bishop Kreed has called a meeting with me. We need you at the command station. Opening a portal now.

[The Doom Slayer enters the portal.]

Chapter 12: Sentinel Command Station

*The Sentinels prepare for the Kreed’s arrival at Thira’s command station.*

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): His eminence, the Bishop Kreed, has arrived. Access controtied zones in effect.

Sentinel Facility Voice: Access denied.

Sentinel Facility Voice: All personnel, please evacuate the facility.

Defend the Command Station

Commander Thira (via radio): This base is under attack. Scramble the air units, all hands to battle stations.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): They must be after the Kreed.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Hull breach.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Damage on multiple levels.

Commander Thira (via radio): Move the Kreed to the command deck.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Portal opening above the command station. Something massive is coming through.

Commander Thira (via radio): We need air support. Ensign, prepare the Slayer’s dragon.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Communications are jammed. We can't reach Valen or Novik.

Commander Thira (via radio): Keep trying.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Hellships have entered the airspace. They're blocking our flight decks.

Commander Thira (via radio): We need the Slayer in the air. The station won't last much longer.

[Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer carves through entire legions of demons, fighting his way to the upper floors.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Commander, the rift is getting larger.

[The Doom Slayer, relentless and unstoppable, marches ever closer to the dragon...]

Chapter 13: From Beyond

*The command station is under attack as the Slayer pilots Serrat into battle.*

[The Doom Slayer finds a platform where he can mount his mighty dragon. The beast lands, spreads its wings, and roars—ready for battle at once. He strokes the monster, climbs into the saddle, and soars into the sky.]

Fight off the Creature

Commander Thira (via radio): We have to drive it back into that rift.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): It isn't a demon. Energy readings are all wrong.

[The Doom Slayer engages in combat with Hell’s warships.]

Commander Thira: Those tentacles are ripping the station apart. Take them out.

[The Doom Slayer destroys the first of these vessels.]

Sentinel Soldier: Subsection barrier is down. Lower levels accessible.

[In the sky above the base, a titanic portal yawns open, from which extend squid-like tendrils. They coil around the structure. The Doom Slayer battles the appendages, and the creature slowly withdraws them, one by one.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Hellgate destroyed.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): All Hellgates are closed.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): All tentacles have been cleared. Threat neutralized.

[Thira’s team watches through the window as the demonic portal begins to close. Yet, at the last moment, it reopens, and a single tendril lashes out, seizing the tower where Thira and Kreed stand.]

Commander Thira: [exertions]

[The tendrils drag the severed chunk of the tower straight into Hell, and the Doom Slayer fails to follow in time.]

Chapter 14: Spire of Nerathul

*Thira and the Kreed were pulled into an unknown dimension — the Maykrs discover a way inside.*

[The Doom Slayer flies over a lightless ocean dotted with small islands in a helicopter. He leaps onto one such islet and begins his mission.]

Rescue Thira

Commander Valen (via radio): Why would they hide this from us?

King Novik (via radio): The Maykrs didn't know it was here. Hold your position.

[The Doom Slayer drops into an ocean of demons and begins methodically slaughtering them, even felling a powerful champion among their ranks.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): We found a control switch.

[The switch turns out to be a large round panel with a skull-shaped button. The Doom Slayer presses the skull to drain the water.]

King Novik (via radio): The church wants the Kreed and Thira safely returned, and they're willing to help. According to the Maykrs, inside this tomb is a deity... that will lead you to their location. The Bishop's ministry has asked that the Slayer alone take this mission. They trust no one else. I cannot disobey the church, but... we'll be on alert.

[A vast circular cave opens in the sea, and the Doom Slayer mounts his dragon to fly toward it, first feeding the beast a demon’s arm.]

Commander Valen (via radio): The entire structure was built just to keep this creature in stasis. We need to wake it up. Maykrs have given us directions.

Slayer Suit: Targets identified. Locking coordinates.

[The Doom Slayer descends into the temple on his dragon and proceeds to do what he does best. After a long and perilous journey (perilous for anyone but him), he finds a statue glowing violet and deactivates the barrier blocking the path.]

Slayer Suit: You may now access the nearby stasis emitter.

[The Doom Slayer approaches a demonic statue and shatters its glass eye, disabling the device. The pearls embedded in the body of the colossal creature at the structure’s center begin to glow green.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Vital signs rising.

[He mounts his dragon and sets off toward the next statue. He even has to swim underwater! He locates it and disables it the same way. The third statue was guarded even more fiercely than the first two—yet the Doom Slayer prevailed once more.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): it's awake, but it can't free itself.

Slayer Suit: Excessive ordinance is now required.

King Novik (via radio): The Maykrs say there is a powerful weapon here that can release the creature. We're marking it on your map now.

[The Doom Slayer embarks on his journey anew, stepping over demon corpses, and finds a crossbow that fires bolts powerful enough to shatter solid rock. With it, he destroys the device restraining the monster at the center. The Doom Slayer takes a liking to the crossbow and tears it free from its mount.]

Commander Valen (via radio): What happens if this creature doesn’t want to leave?

King Novik (via radio): We have no choice.

[Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer approaches the monster itself. Seems he wants to have a... man-to-monster talk.]

Slayer Suit: The final safety switch is ahead. Ready for release of Titan-class entity.

King Novik (via radio): Once through the rift, you should pick up the Kreed’s signal. When you find them the Maykrs will guide you to an exit.

[Into the light bursts a gargantuan entity, heavily reminiscent of Cthulhu. It surges toward the portal in the sky, and the Doom Slayer latches onto its flesh with his fanged shield.]

Chapter 15: City of Ry'uul

*The Cosmic Realm awaits.*

[The Doom Slayer hurtles through cosmic currents until, at last, he tears free from the beast and plunges into the water.]

Slayer Suit: Oxygen levels depleting.

[The Doomslayer swims into a wide passage resembling a pipe.]

Slayer Suit: Kreed Maykr - signal lost. Commander Thira - signal detected.

Find Thira

[At the pipe’s end, the Doom Slayer is met with numerous branching paths. He chooses one at random and swims onward. Emerging from another pipe, he enters a vast chamber with an altar at its center. Around it, smoothed stones inscribed with runes hover, wreathed in green magic. The Doom Slayer touches the altar, and it descends—the chamber itself is a gigantic elevator. He rises to the city’s surface. Before him, an arch assembles from stone, crowned by a stylized eye. This arch is a portal—but a closed one. A way must be found to open it. As he walks the corridors, he hears the Witch’s voice, echoing as if from everywhere at once.]

The Witch: The Old One has returned. Woe to all who stand before him.

The Cosmic Realm is a dimension of unfathomable dread where reality warps and sanity falters. Ancient structures of impossible geometry rise from blackened seas, the surfaces pulsating with unholy runes. The skies churn with color unknown, inhabited by titanic beings that defy comprehension. The Oracles of Argent, seers and keepers of forbidden knowledge, whisper of a theory: that the Wraths, Argent D'Nur's ancient gods, may trace their origins to this very realm.

[Traversing the long halls of the ancient, alien structure, the Doom Slayer finds something of interest—the Dreadmace. This short, brutal club boasts an aggressively ornate design, as if carved from bone. A single strike damages not only the targeted demon but those nearby as well. The Doom Slayer continues his journey through these Lovecraftian caves, occasionally putting his new weapon to use.]

The Witch: Our covenant with the Dark Realm is sealed. Now their strength is our own.

[Having discovered a way to open the portal gate, the Doom Slayer steps through.]

Chapter 16: The Kar'Thul Marches

*The Slayer’s search for Thira continues.*

Slayer Suit: Two cosmic relics detected nearby.

[The Doom Slayer emerges onto the city’s outer reaches and begins exploring the lifeless stone landscapes. Well, not entirely lifeless—but they certainly will be soon.]

The Witch: The time of ascension is now. No longer shall we be shackled to a dying cosmos.

Born from the congealed madness of the Cosmic Realm, Ulsamir (known only as the Witch to the denizens of Hell) is a living conduit for the dark magic coursing through her alien dimension. Her current body is but a temporary vessel, fragile and fleeting, used to manifest her malicious spirit in the physical world. Though she and her cult of chaos worshippers have allied with Prince Ahzrak, Ulsamir's allegiance is tenuous.

Her ultimate loyalty remains with her own god, whose return she tirelessly seeks to ensure. She trades with the demon prince in ancient currencies of power - safe passage between realms for her dormant god in exchange for forbidden secrets buried in Argent D'Nur's hallowed depths. For her, this alliance is but a means to an end-a step toward fulfilling her higher, inscrutable purpose.

Slayer Suit: Both relics aquired. Proceed to the central lift.

[Entering the elevator and descending into the depths, the Doom Slayer once again hears the Witch’s voice.]

The Witch: The stars bleed, and the void calls.

[After collecting the key, the Doom Slayer opens the portal and continues his quest to find Thira.]

Chapter 17: Temple of Lomarith

*The Slayer’s journey continues towards Thira’s life signal.*

This vast graveyard of vessels adrift in the void is a haunting testament to those who dared-or unknowingly crossed-into the Cosmic Realm. Ships from countless dimensions and epochs litter this desolate expanse, their shattered hulls suspended in an eternal and silent drift. Some were explorers lured by forbidden knowledge, while others were hapless victims of rifts that swallowed them whole. Their crews, long consumed by the madness of the realm, leave behind only fragments of their stories scattered among the debris.

[The Doom Slayer rages furiously through the temple corridors. Soon, he begins traversing floating debris suspended in the void.]

Slayer Suit: Gravitic anomalies detected.

[The Doom Slayer slays several massive crab-like champions on his way to the temple.]

Slayer Suit: Commander Thira's life signal locked on. She is inside the temple.

[The Doom Slayer approaches the temple and steps onto a circular platform, using the altar at its center to open the door.]

Slayer Suit: Alert. Unknown entity approaching.

[Suddenly, the altar standing atop the water’s surface is engulfed by fingers—and rises on a gargantuan hand. The Doom Slayer grips the platform to avoid being flung off. The creature is none other than the Cthulhu-like entity we saw earlier. It brings the platform closer to its face, examining the intruder. Without ceremony, it opens its gaping maw and devours the Doom Slayer whole.]

Chapter 18: Belly of the Beast

*Consumed by the Old One, the Slayer’s mission is lost.*

[The Doom Slayer plummets down the monster’s colossal throat. After a minute of freefall, he lands.]

Slayer Suit: You have been ingested. Vital signs stable.

Ingested

[The Doom Slayer begins navigating the creature’s inner walls, wreaking as much chaos and destruction as possible—and he is capable of far more than any ordinary man. After some time, he finds a spot to fire his crossbow. Cthulhu gushes blood and collapses. Unfazed, the Doom Slayer emerges onto the surface.]

The Witch: The Old One... Lost forever.

[The Doom Slayer continues carving his path toward the temple.]

Slayer Suit: Caution. Thira’s signal is surrounded by enemy targets.

[The Doom Slayer steps through the now-open door and sees an impossibly long staircase stretching endlessly upward. Climbing it, he enters a vast hallway where obelisks hover over an abyss, and in the distance, Thira floats upon a pedestal. The path to her is guarded by all manner of demons. The Doom Slayer silently reloads his shotgun. After slaughtering everything in his way, he approaches Thira. He reaches out to pull her from her trance—but a glowing blue tentacle slithers from her back and touches his hand. Blue electricity wracks his body. At that moment, the Prince himself approaches from behind.]

Prince Ahzrak: Her energy is too powerful. Even for you.

[A tentacled entity, also glowing blue, emerges behind Thira.]

Prince Ahzrak: The Sentinels know so little about themselves. She has the spirit of an ancient Sentinel god within her. A wraith. Who are descendants of this realm. Here, her energy becomes fully... realized.

[He steps toward the Doom Slayer, convulsing from the electric surge, and removes his helmet. Beneath it, we see the face of an ordinary man—dark-haired, with a short, practical cut.]

Prince Ahzrak: And it can be harnessed.

[The Doom Slayer glares at the Prince with defiance, and in response, the Prince strikes him across the face with his own helmet. The Doom Slayer collapses. Kreed Maykr arrives.]

Kreed Maykr: We should kill him.

[The Prince disdainfully tosses the Doom Slayer’s helmet at his feet.]

Prince Ahzrak: We'll need something more permanent.

[The Witch enters.]

Prince Ahzrak: Etrigos. Zarath. Mazikil.

[As he utters the arcane words, the heart amulet opens. The Witch begins chanting a spell. The eyes of the obelisks flanking Thira ignite with violet light, and energy flows from them into her hands. She redirects it straight into Thira’s heart. Through her, the energy beam strikes the tentacled entity, forcing out a glowing orb. The orb returns to the amulet. Now the key shines with an unearthly light, fusing to the Prince’s body—so tightly that he grimaces in pain. The amulet erupts with pure energy. Kreed Maykr flees in terror. The Doom Slayer, still on the ground, struggles to rise.]

Chapter 19: Harbor of Souls

*Ahzrak, after besting the Slayer, transforms himself using Thira's power.*

[Meanwhile, at the Sentinel fortress, Novik and Valen walk down a corridor.]

Commander Valen: The Kreed came back. Alone.

King Novik: And the Slayer?

Commander Valen: Nothing.

King Novik: Get him on.

[His subordinate presses a button, and a hologram of Kreed Maykr appears.]

King Novik: Bishop Kreed.

[The obese priest slowly turns in his chair.]

King Novik: Where is Thira?

Kreed Maykr: The Slayer came, and there... ...was a struggle.

[Novik tenses, bracing for unpleasant news.]

Kreed Maykr: We should leave. Now.

[The hologram vanishes—and with it, all power on the base cuts out. A red Hell portal tears open where holograms usually appear. Everyone in the room steps back. From the portal flies the Doom Slayer’s bloodied helmet. (The blood, as we recall, came from the Prince striking him with it—his own blood.) Then, the transformed Prince steps forth. His claws and horns have lengthened; his torso is now exposed.]

King Novik: Everyone out, now.

[Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer regains consciousness—encased in a violet energy field. Three colossi generate it, one of whom is the Cthulhu-like beast we know. The Doom Slayer tries smashing the dome with his shield, to no avail. Then, he touches his golden heart. It unleashes a surge of golden energy—searing the colossi. The Doom Slayer grips it harder—and rips the golden artifact from his chest. The violet dome explodes, hurling the colossi back. The Doom Slayer plummets from an impossible height into a vat of green acid. Darkness consumes him—and in that void, he sees a rune matching the one on his shield. The King’s voice echoes.]

King Novik: They are rage. Brutal. Without mercy. But you... you will be worse. Rip and tear, until it is done.

[The Doom Slayer becomes, quite literally, a zombie. Other demonic wretches dress him—wretches he soon slaughters without mercy. He picks up a shotgun from a corpse’s cold, dead hands.]

Slayer Suit: Rebooting. Attempting to connect to Sentinel network.

Return to the Mortal Plane

[The Doom Slayer explores his new location: a demonic prison for the dead. He fills a central pool with blood and swims through it.]

Slayer Suit: Signal detected. A beacon is emanating from the mortal plane.

Slayer Suit: Scanning. Vessel located.

[Now, he must steal a barge to escape this hellish place. He emerges into an open area where a skull burns atop an altar.]

Slayer Suit: Arcane totem identified. Rerouting to next objective.

[The Doom Slayer finds a tall portal through which souls pass. Beside it stands a gaunt demon with elongated fingers, reaching out for payment.]

Slayer Suit: Payment required.

[Instead of paying, the Doom Slayer blasts it in the face with his shotgun. The portal’s defenses vanish, and he strides forward, claiming the barge for himself.]

Slayer Suit: Vessel scanned. Routing to bridge.

[The Doom Slayer fights his way to the barge’s helm, steering it where he needs to go—back to the world of the living.]

Chapter 20: Resurrection

*The Slayer, having broken through the gates of Hell, looks now to bring justice to all who have wronged him.*

[The Doom Slayer staggers to his feet in a dead, fog-choked forest. He follows a trail of blood. Meanwhile, we cut to monks performing a ritual. One slices his palm and drips blood onto the Doom Slayer’s helmet.]

DARKVEIL FOREST
OUTSKIRTS OF ELDERAX

Sentinel Monk: By bloodright, we invoke the dark powers to call upon the damned.

[Destroying the undead Doom Slayer is humanity’s last hope for salvation.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The Maykrs are still not responding. Defenses... about to be breached...

[After hearing the message, Marok approaches Valen.]

Marok: I'm going back.

[The monks continue their chants. A rectangular, tomb-like trough fills with blood—and from it rises the Doom Slayer. He glares at them, but Valen steps forward, offering his helmet. The Doom Slayer takes it in silence and leaves.]

Commander Valen (via radio): The outer defenses were slaughtered. Novik's forces are surrounded.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): The Kreed just surrendered.

Punish the Guilty

[The Doom Slayer sets out to destroy the siege towers, reclaiming the city piece by piece.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): He just took out a siege tower.

Marok (via radio): Get word to Novik.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Enemy threat has been eliminated. He's regained control of the battlefield.

[Not without struggle, he succeeds in demolishing all three towers. His dragon descends to him.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): All targets destroyed.

King Novik (via radio): There's one left.

[The Doom Slayer rides the dragon to Kreed’s ship, intent on punishing the traitorous priest.]

King Novik (via radio): The Slayer will decide his fate.

Kill Bishop Kreed

[Landing, he methodically guns down drones while the priest’s voice blares from loudspeakers.]

Kreed Maykr: It is your duty to protect your Kreed.

[Reaching the priest proves no challenge—nor does the priest himself pose any threat.]

Kreed Maykr: Prince Ahzrak, please, help me! I could still be of service!

[Yet the Doom Slayer is already here, forcing the priest to fight for his life.]

Kreed Maykr: I only did what was asked of me!

[As expected, the priest is no match. The Doom Slayer swiftly defeats him, delivering a single gauntleted punch to his face before kicking him through the window of his own chamber.]

Kreed Maykr: I'm worth more to you alive than dead! I can bring you Prince Ahzrak! [grunting] [groaning]

[The Doom Slayer advances, driving the priest toward the platform’s edge—and the abyss beyond. Realizing his end is near, the priest resorts to his final form, shedding his white robe to reveal fleshy tentacles coiled around his body. Phase two begins—and we see that Kreed, too, is a robot beneath, surprisingly compact. The Doom Slayer brutalizes him with the Dreadmace. Bloodied and broken, Kreed Maykr tries to crawl away as the Doom Slayer stalks closer.]

Kreed Maykr: [labored breathing]

[The Doom Slayer drags him by what might be his coccyx.]

Kreed Maykr: Wait. Wait!

[He removes his shield, activating its blades for the killing strike.]

Kreed Maykr: Thira... Ahzrak is keeping her alive on his ship.

[Hearing these words, the King gestures through the transmitter.]

Kreed Maykr: If she dies his power would die with her. I can take you to her.

[The Doom Slayer hesitates for a second—then executes Kreed Maykr with his shield.]

Kreed Maykr: [death screams]

[In a spray of gore, he bisects the priest. The spine severs with such force that the shield accelerates through the final cut, magnifying the brutality.]

Chapter 21: Final Battle

*Ahzrak’s empowered army moves in for the final confrontation against the Sentinels and their champion.*

[We find Thira encased in a spiked iron cocoon. Countless others hang around her. A red energy stream is being siphoned from her—her eyes blank, her consciousness gone. The Prince drinks in this energy, crimson lightning dancing across his hands as he stands atop his skull-shaped ship. With a gesture, he awakens the Titans. An army of ten colossal beings marches toward humanity’s last stronghold. Meanwhile, the humans struggle to hold back the demonic tide. Screams of the dying fill the air as soldiers pour into the fray. In the distance, the Atlan giants are hastily repaired for battle. The Doom Slayer, the King, and his subordinate oversee the preparations.]

Sentinel Soldier: It won't be ready in time, sir.

Sentinel Facility Voice: Refueling complete. Royal Atlan online.

[An idea sparks in the King’s mind. The Titan demons advance. Two Atlans emerge from the hangar—one royal, one standard. The King boards the unfinished standard model, while the Doom Slayer takes the royal.]

King Novik: FIRE!

Punish the Guilty

[The Doom Slayer joins the battle—fighting Titans with his bare hands, one might say.]

Slayer Suit: Combat mode engaged.

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Slayer is tearing through the front lines.

Marok (via radio): Those Titans are protecting the siege towers.

[He destroys the infernal gate generators to halt the invasion. From a dropped capsule, he retrieves a massive minigun and turns it on the Titans.]

Sentinel Soldier (via radio): Ahzrak's forces have been crushed.

[The Doom Slayer closes in on the Prince’s ship. The Prince still stands at the prow, weaving his crimson lightning. Cthulhu himself steps forth to battle the Doom Slayer. The fight is brutal, fist-to-fist. Ancient bones shatter under devastating blows. When the creature weakens, the Doom Slayer intercepts its next strike and blasts it to the ground with his cannons. Yet it refuses to die—splitting into two entities. The battle resumes. Enraged, the Doom Slayer shatters its kneecap, tears off its leg, then rips its head free. The Witch moves to intervene, but the Prince stops her with a gesture. A true badass, the Doom Slayer exits the Atlan to face the Prince one-on-one. The Prince descends from his ship like a wrathful god.]

Prince Ahzrak: I can never rule as king, so long as you are the only one they fear.

[He summons a glaive with a flick of his wrist and attacks. But even his speed and skill are no match for the Doom Slayer’s fanatical fury. The Doom Slayer batters him with his shield, going for the kill—but the Prince blocks and repels him. The Prince touches his face, sees blood, and flies into a rage. The Doom Slayer rises and advances again—slow, relentless. The Prince engulfs himself in flame, transforming into a hellish angel. Phase two begins. Victorious again, the Doom Slayer moves to finish him—but is intercepted once more. This time, the Prince impales him with his glaive and kicks him back. He strides toward the fallen Slayer—until the dragon arrives, bathing the field in fire. The Prince shields himself with his wings. Enraged by the defiance, he spears the dragon through the neck, killing it instantly. The Doom Slayer uses the distraction to rise, retrieving his shotgun. He stares at his dead companion—and boiling fury fills him. Phase three begins. He shoots, hurls his shield to stun the Prince, then smashes him across the face. Still, the Prince fights on.]

Prince Ahzrak: Fall, beast.

[Finally, exhausted, the Prince collapses. The Doom Slayer swings his flail—sending the Prince flying. He flips him over with a kick. The King and his helmeted subordinate approach. The Doom Slayer tears the amulet from the Prince’s chest with his bare hands. The Prince writhes and screams—but the energy drain from Thira stops. His form reverts to red armor. The ship fractures with blue energy—Thira’s inner entity retaliating. A massive explosion flings both the Doom Slayer and the Prince far away. The Doom Slayer digs his shield into the ground to halt his flight. The Prince is nowhere to be seen.]

Slayer Suit: Ahzrak's life signal is still active. It is transmitting now from the Hell dimension.

[Thira appears, hovering like a goddess, blue tentacles spread like wings. The Doom Slayer tosses the flail to the King like a trinket and walks away. The King approaches his daughter. The Doom Slayer kneels by his fallen dragon, silently thanking and mourning it. Carefully, the King reseals the entity into the amulet, restoring Thira’s consciousness.]

King Novik: Thira...

[He places a hand on her shoulder.]

King Novik: Are you alright?

Commander Thira: I am.

[She plays with blue energy in her palm, as if realizing the power she now holds.]

Chapter 22: Reckoning

*Wounded and defeated, Ahzrak has retreated back to Hell. Seizing on the opportunity, the Slayer joins the Sentinels to put an end to his reign.*

[Sentinel’s fortress. Soldiers recover from the battle. A hush falls as the Doom Slayer enters. Warriors line up to witness the legend. He approaches Thira. Without words, she understands—demonstrating her new abilities. Her sword charges with blue energy, carving runes into stone. The stone twists into a strange portal. The Doom Slayer steps through silently. The others follow. Thira walks last, a glowing blue tattoo stretching from her right eye to her hand. The King and his retinue remain behind. Thira seals the portal. The soldiers find themselves in a demonic dimension, hellish creatures scurrying everywhere.]

Commander Valen: Leave Ahzrak to the Slayer.

[Thira forms pauldrons of blue energy, her voice booming like a goddess. A blue tentacle coils around her.]

Commander Thira: Draw the horde to us.

[She drives it into the ground, impaling a dozen demons. Valen charges with a glowing hammer—the soldiers follow. The Doom Slayer, however, strides forward alone, bulldozing toward the Prince’s ship. He shoves through demons, leaps off a cliff, and latches onto the passing vessel. Bare-handed, he claws his way up the bone hull. The Prince watches in dread. The Doom Slayer reaches the deck—demons await.]

Commander Thira (via radio): He's onboard. We hold our ground until he finishes this.

[In berserker mode, he tears through the ship’s holds. Kicking down the Prince’s cabin door, he enters.]

Prince Ahzrak: Kill him! Avenge your god!

[The Prince summons the Witch to fight alongside him. Together, they attack—but the Doom Slayer’s rage renders their efforts meaningless. He pummels the Prince at every opportunity.]

Prince Ahzrak: Kill him now. As long as I live the Old One can still be resurrected!

[It changes nothing. He turns on the Witch, battering her with fists and shield before slashing her throat with such force that she’s hurled away. His gaze snaps back to the Prince.]

Prince Ahzrak: I command the horde - kill me, and this war will never end.

[As you’d expect, the Doom Slayer doesn’t care. Phase two begins. When he wins again, he savagely beats the Prince before kicking him to the ground. He moves for the kill—but the Witch survives. She fires violet energy at him. He blocks with his shield, reflecting it. The blast sends her crashing through the wall, where she dangles from roots or ropes. Her torn mask reveals extreme ugliness. She snarls—then takes a shield bash. Her body swells with violet energy before detonating, obliterating the ship’s left flank. Meanwhile, Thira battles a demon horde with her new powers. She sees the Prince’s ship crash toward them and flees. The burning wreck smashes into the hellish wasteland. The Prince, already battered, now teeters on death’s edge. Enraged, he roars.]

Prince Ahzrak: [exertions]

Prince Ahzrak: [furious roar]

[Hearing this, the hellish demons turn and leave—knowing his reign is over. The Doom Slayer stands silently nearby, gripping his flail. He methodically unwinds it. The Prince screams. The Doom Slayer begins hammering him into the ground with relentless strikes. For the humans, the battle isn’t over. Demons surround them. From a high ledge, the Doom Slayer appears—dropping the Prince’s severed head (missing an eye). The demons scatter in terror.]

[Next scene. Time passes. Peace returns. The King sits upon his throne.]

King Novik: Any word?

Commander Valen: No one has seen him since the assault.

King Novik: We're much better off with him on his own. (to Marok) And you, young Sentinel. Your father tells me great things about you.

Marok: Thank you, sir.

[Valen nods. Marok leaves—revealed now as father and son. The resemblance is clear.]

Commander Valen: The Maykr's church has disavowed all actions taken by the Kreed. They give their word he was acting alone, and they'll bring justice to anyone that collaborated with him.

King Novik: We'll move forward with our own inquisition. Quietly.

[Thira enters the second hall, flanked by soldiers. From a high balcony, she addresses the gathered warriors below.]

Commander Thira: It is time to look forward. We will always be a people of faith. But we must consider now who we will put that faith in.

[Among them stands the shattered statue of Kreed Maykr.]

Commander Thira: And I say to you there is no better place to turn to... Than ourselves. This is our home and we will stand together to the last Sentinel to defend it. As we have before. As our ancestors did... As we always will. And lastly, I'll ask you to join me now in paying our respect. To him. Commander Thira: The people of Argent D'Nur rest easier now knowing he is out there.

[Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer arrives at a crimson hell-planet aboard a Maykr ship.]

Maykr Facility Voice: Targets identified.

[He steps onto a platform, descending lower.]

Maykr Facility Voice: Slayer prepped for launch.

[Bathed in golden light, the Doom Slayer stares into the camera one last time.]
