RE4 REMAKE: Separate Ways - Chapter 6

Chapter 5

CHAPTER 6

[Ada and Leon drive the boat for a while. Ada sits at the wheel.]

Ada Wong: You look like you've got something to say.

Leon S. Kennedy: I've something to ask you... but I don't think I'll get a straight answer. Raccoon City. You know, after the incident. The world changed. You try to save one person; a hundred others die. I guess I changed too.

Ada Wong: You? Leon S. Kennedy? You haven't changed. You just think you have.

Leon S. Kennedy: So here's my question... Have you changed, Ada? Or are you just trying to use me again? What do you think?

[They arrive at the island.]

Ada Wong: We're here. Don't think too hard, handsome. See you later.

[She uses her hook gun and flies off rocking the boat which nearly flips over.]

Leon S. Kennedy: Story of my life.

[Meanwhile, Krauser has already reached Lord Sadder and he hands him the vial of Amber.]

Ada Wong: Not yet...

[Ada is at this time a decent distance away... and is aiming a massive sniper rifle at Lord Sadder. Suddenly someone points a Beretta at her...]

Ada Wong: Whose blood are you here for this time? Mine or Saddler's?

Albert Wesker: That all depends on you. Change of plans. Of course, you're free to refuse.

Ada Wong: You think that gun's gonna be enough?

Albert Wesker: Interesting...

Ada Wong: OK. I'll do it—but it'll cost you extra.

Albert Wesker: Wise decision. I'll send you the new coordinates. And remember, I do not like—

Ada Wong: Waiting. I know.

[She picks up her suitcase and jumps over the railing. Wesker smiles as if his plan to rescue Lord Sadder had succeeded.]

Ada Wong: I've got a ways to go.

[She makes her way through a sort of military base organized on the island fighting hordes of zombies. After a while, she finds a freight elevator that should take her down a lower level.]

Ada Wong: Should be just up ahead. But getting through won't be easy.

[And she meets The Merhant again, who is always happy to provide her with ammunition and weapons for a modest fee.]

Merchant: Got some wares perfect for a professional like yourself. Your valuables won't do you much good in the grave. A deal well struck, heheh! Good luck to you, stranger. Dazzled, are you? Our craftsmanship demands no less. Got a selection of good things on sale, stranger! I don't always have this in stock, stranger. Don't get yourself killed now, haha.

[The ammo and weapons she bought come in handy as the number of enemies grows even larger. As she makes her way through the nooks and crannies of the military base, she sees Leon and Ashley below, just as Leon gives medicine to Ashley.]

Leon S. Kennedy: Sorry I'm late.

Ashley Graham: You brought the medicine just in time.

Leon S. Kennedy: Can you stand?

Ashley Graham: Where's Luis?

Leon S. Kennedy: He was worried about you...until the end. Come on. We don't have much time. Let's get rid of these things.

Ashley Graham: For Luis.

[Leon is just calling Ada.]

Leon S. Kennedy: Ada, come in. There's a lab where we can remove the parasites. Had a crazy hunch that you'd know where it is.

Ada Wong: Their most important facilities are housed in their sanctuary at the top of the mountain. That's where I'd look.

Leon S. Kennedy: Huh. Ada the encyclopedia.

Ada Wong: Happy to help. Now you owe me.

[She hangs up.]

Ada Wong: Don't die on me now.

Merchant: Take a look. Something's bound to catch your eye. Welcome! Well then. What can I do you for? Your weapons are in good hands, mate. I'll see you right. You'll get some bang for your buck, I guarantee it. Hard times, mate... Welcome! Oh, what're ya buyin'?

[After a fair amount of new purchases, Ada approaches a broken electrical panel....]

Ada Wong: I need to open this to get to the comms facility. It needs some power though.

[Researcher's Scrawled Note]
OK! Can't rush! Gotta get the facts down!
First, the test subjects are loose in the facility. Second, the only way out is shut.
The high-voltage power unit is missing. and the exit won't open without one.
The Freezer! There is a power unit in there!
It's an emergency power supply for when one of the test subjects escapes. It should do the job!
Problem is: How do I get there with those things running wild?
Need to think. Can't give up. Got a family. I can make it. I can do this. I have to. For them.

[Ada jumps through an open hatch and into a research lab.]

[Subject Analysis: Regenerador]
Date: April 9
At last, I have created new life. I call it "Regenerador."
Its metabolic capacity is incredible. Unless all the parasites residing within the organism are destroyed, its tissue can regenerate indefinitely.

Date: April 10
Upon examining the body with a biosensor scope. I was able to confirm that the parasites behave like vital organs for the host, almost as though it has multiple hearts!
This new creation of mine is essentially immortal. Surely, even Dr. Frankenstein himself would want to shake my hand in admiration!

Date: April 13
I shared the news of my achievement with that pretentious bastard colleague of mine. His face went white! Then, he started scribbling something in his notebook. I thought he'd be impressed, but instead he actually had the nerve to warn me of the so-called dangers.
He's a fool. I have everything under control.

Date:
The subject went wild and escaped from its cryogenic tank.
I was the real fool.

[Ada begins exploring the semi-dark corridors of the abandoned laboratory, where monsters are given everywhere, as well as regenerators.]

Ada Wong: You can't be serious. That was bound to happen. Drat... Another one.

[After another round of shopping, Ada walks out to the cable car.]

Ada Wong: Not exactly covert, but it'll have to do.

[[Antenna Array Construction Report]
The installation of the highly sensitive antenna array on the island is finally complete.
With it, the activities of hostile organizations, including those of US intelligence services, can be accurately intercepted and monitored.
Now we can hear all.
First, we will use this to gather intel and plan for the day of the kidnapping.
It will certainly ensure our success
We will show the entire world how that country's security is all bark and no bite.
Jack Krauser]

[Ada gets on the cable car and begins to descend. She is surrounded by zombies on other cable cars.]

Ada Wong: Rockets first, then I can take care of the rest.

[She manages to survive the dangerous trip.]

Ada Wong: Not my favorite carnival ride.

Merchant: Heheh! Why not treat yourself, mate? Welcome! What can I interest you in? Hope to see you again soon, stranger.

[Before going to the next protected area, she looks around with binoculars.]

Ada Wong: The area's well guarded. I need to be careful.

[As soon as she enters the restricted area, the alarm goes on. She's being machine-gunned.]

Ada Wong: I was afraid of that. Not again. Next? It's just one thing after another today. Here we go. Need to find the main terminal.

[She manages to hide from pesky zombies and machine guns in a building where she begins to pick electronic locks.]

[The Amber: Research Report #12]
Our research into the Amber continues on the island.
We are beginning to get a clearer picture, but there is still much we do not know.
The Amber is proving its usefulness. Although it is still dormant, it has great influence over other parasites and even strengthens them. I am convinced that this optimizes the relationship between parasite and host.
In our experiments, we were able to recreate this for one of our test subjects.
This is a great achievement.
Next, I want to test its influence over the superior species of plaga. However, only those at the top of Los lluminados are hosts to this particular type of parasite, and they would never agree to participate in any experiments.
I need to plan carefully if I wish to find any volunteers.
Anabel García Escudero, Head Researcher

Ada Wong: Something tells me this isn't just a comms facility.

[Subject Analysis: Martinico]
The effects of the Amber are greater than anything I could have imagined.
Martinico was once a fragile, uncontrollable test subject that was despised for being born "deformed." But after numerous experiments, it gained tremendous resilience and regenerating abilities, and now it is impervious to conventional weapons.
Now for the bad news.
It may be stronger, but its mental capacity has not improved at all.
In the unlikely event that it breaks free, there is little we can do to contain it again.
Only the powerful lasers can stop it for good.

[She goes below and comes across a massive mutant that looks remotely like a crocodile.]

Ada Wong: You don't look friendly.

[She quickly runs to the valve and opens a small gap, into which she deftly runs. The mutant already manages only to slip his fat hand in.]

Ada Wong: This is where we say goodbye. Guess my new friend was the result of some experiment.

[However, our new friend is not going to give up and soon catches up with Ada. And has to run away, opening the doors quickly in front of her. But soon she is stopped by a corridor full of lasers, as we have already seen in the first Resident Evil movie.]

Ada Wong: Lasers... Better watch out.

[Thanks to her incredible flexibility and agility, Ada manages to get through this most dangerous trap.]

Ada Wong: Well, that was excessive.

[Finally she picks the last lock and gets into the right room.]

Ada Wong: This is it. Now, how to connect the device...

[First she power up the panel, ensuring her retreat. Then she places the very suitcase Wesker handed her on the table. And pulls out a laptop from there, plugging it into the system.]

Ada Wong: I'm at the site and jacked into the main terminal. You're going to blow up this entire island. Including the president's daughter. Won't that make things harder for you?

Albert Wesker: There's no room for half measures. The weak exist to serve the strong. Enough talk. Bring me the Amber. I arranged a way for you to get back to the island.

Ada Wong: Copy that. On it now.

Ada Wong: OK, Luis. What was it that you said again? You should have known by now, Wesker. I don't always play by your rules. OK, I'm done here.

[She heads for the exit, but is overtaken again by the creepy monster. Ada is just in time to reach the corridor full of lasers.]

Ada Wong: Only one way through this.

[She deftly jumps over lasers, but the large monster can not do this - he is cut by literally every one of them.]

Ada Wong: Always have an out.

[She pulls out her walkie-talkie and hears Ashley's pitiful voice.]

Ashley Graham: Stop! No!

Ada Wong: Got you now, Saddler.

[She gets on the aquabike and rushes forward.]
